APIA Nevada One Voice, a coalition of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) organizations across Nevada, will be hosting a community wellness and resource fair at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 15th. The community fair will be an event that includes a multitude of health screening services as well as various resources for the AAPI community.
The Community Wellness and Resource Fair is a free event open for all individuals. There will be organizations across Nevada that will be offering various health screenings (such as diabetes, blood sugar, blood pressure, vision, cholesterol, and much more) and free flu shots. There will also be vendors present displaying their services and providing resources for the community, such as immigration and pro-bono legal assistance.
This will be the first AAPI coalition-led community event. Individuals who attend will have the advantage of access to health-related matters and other resources in the community. Anyone is welcome to attend.
APIA One Voice is a coalition group that comprises of various organizations across Nevada that are dedicated to serving the AAPI community. The alliance consists of: Asian Community Development Council (ACDC), Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA), Rising Asian Pacific Americans Coalition for Diversity (RAPACD), Silver State Voices (SSV), Korean Association of Las Vegas, Senator Harry Reid’s Office, E320 Entertainment, A New Day Community Health Center, Walgreens, Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada (PLAN), Twin Lakes Community Clinic, OCA Las Vegas, iAmerica, Asian Community Resource Center (ACRC), Las Vegas Spine and Pain Clinic (LVSPC), FirstMed Health and Wellness Center (FMHWC), Las Vegas Chinese Daily News (LVCDN), Office of Living Art, Las Vegas Hawaiian Civic Club (LVHCC), American Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce, MGM Resorts International – APING, Seek Jesus First Ministry, and Asian Culture Alliance (ACA).
