Asian Community Development Council Announces Fund Matching Campaign to Support Restaurant Worker Injured in Shooting in Shanghai Plaza

Las Vegas (December 24, 2021): The Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) is holding a press conference on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM in front of the Asian Community Development Council’s office on the 2nd floor of Shanghai Plaza. The address is 4276 West Spring Mountain Road #207, Las Vegas, NV 89102.
Governor Steve Sisolak and First Lady Kathy Sisolak are scheduled to attend the event, along with ACDC Founder & President Vida Chan Lin. ACDC is joining forces with Asian American & Pacific Islander business & community partners to raise funds for Shanghai Taste’s waiter, ChengYan Wang, after he was critically injured in a shooting at the restaurant last weekend. ACDC is launching a fundraising campaign via Mightycause, a fundraising platform, and will match up to $5000 with the goal of raising $10,000. Money raised will go directly to Mr. Wang’s recovery fund. Mr. Wang is still listed in critical condition after being shot multiple times while working at Shanghai Taste restaurant in the early morning hours of December 20th.
