Asian Community Development Council takes part in “One World Through Art” on Oct 1st’s First Friday event

Las Vegas (September 30th, 2021) The Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) is joining forces with the First Friday Foundation to take part in “One World Through Art”. This comes on the 4th anniversary of the October 1st shooting in Las Vegas and the theme of this year’s event is meant to commemorate the unity of this city and how art can break down barriers and bring together all cultures within our community.

ACDC will host a variety of booths & vendors on First Friday featuring Asian American & Pacific Islander themes. There will be a number of local AAPI restaurants, cafes and other businesses represented including: Island Flavor, Truffles and Bacon, Fluff Ice and 888 Collectibles. There will also be live performances by Kaminari Taiko and Shaolin Lion Dance. You can find ACDC’s booths & vendors located near South 1st Street & Boulder Avenue.

Additionally, ACDC will hold a pop-up COVID-19 and Flu Clinic at First Friday in collaboration with Immunize Nevada. Other sponsors partnering with ACDC for this event are OCA Las Vegas and Caesars Corporation.

First Fridays “One World Through Art” is happening Friday October 1st from 5PM – 11PM in Downtown Las Vegas. First Friday is a monthly event to showcase local artists, musicians, makers and more. The First Friday Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local arts, culture, and education.
