ABOUT WAT BUDDHAPRADEEP OF RENO

Wat Buddhapradeep of Reno Thai Buddhist Temple was established in 2015 by Abbott & President Venerable Sitthiporn Mitwichian (Phra Khru Vorasitthivited). Wat Buddhapradeep of Reno is a place of worship and spiritual/mind development. The temple is open to the general public and welcomes all who wish to explore, learn, develop, and/or be a part of our monastic community. The temple’s monks and lay devotees are dedicated to serving the people who visit the temple, whether they are regulars who frequent the temple or just one-time visitors. Every year the temple celebrates 3 different Buddhist holidays (Vesakha Puja Day; Asalha Puja Day; Magha Puja Day), the Buddhist Lent, and 2 Thai cultural events (Songkran Festival; Loy Krathong). The dates for these holidays and events are based on the lunar calendar and thus land on a different date each year.
