COMMUNITY UNITY IN ACTION: RAIDERS FOUNDATION SUPPORTS ACDC’S CULTURALLY-SENSITIVE ASIAN FOOD DISTRIBUTION

THE RAIDERS FOUNDATION DONATED $100K TO SUPPORT ACDC’S EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND THE HEALTHY ASIANS & PACIFIC ISLANDERS (HAPI) MEDICAL CENTER

LAS VEGAS, NV  – September 26, 2023

The Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) and the Las Vegas Raiders are proud to announce a partnership that aims to make a significant impact on the Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) community of Nevada. Standing in solidarity and support, the Raiders Foundation, as the charitable arm of the Las Vegas Raiders, generously donated $100,000 to ACDC to bolster the operations of their culturally sensitive food bank and the Healthy Asians and Pacific Islanders (HAPI) Medical Center.

This partnership marks a significant moment for the Las Vegas community, bringing together two organizations with a shared commitment to promoting health, well-being, and cultural diversity. The Las Vegas Raiders, who relocated to Las Vegas in 2020, have quickly established themselves as more than just a football team; they are a cornerstone of the community who prioritize community engagement and social responsibility. The team’s philanthropic arm, the Raiders Foundation, is dedicated to uplifting the community and to advancing social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion through its charitable donations and direct work on the ground.

ACDC’s emergency food bank played a pivotal role in addressing the urgent needs of AAPI individuals and families, especially during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds provided by the Raiders Foundation greatly enhances ACDC’s ability to provide culturally sensitive food assistance to those in need. The HAPI Medical Center, an initiative of ACDC, is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the AAPI community through accessible and culturally competent healthcare services. The generous donation from the Raiders Foundation will enable the HAPI Medical Center to expand its reach and provide essential medical care to underserved AAPI populations.

“ACDC is thrilled to partner with the Raiders Foundation, and we extend our heartfelt thanks for their support,” said Vida Lin, President & Founder of ACDC. “Their generous donation will make a tangible difference in the lives of AAPI individuals and families in Nevada, and we look forward to working closely with the Raiders Foundation to ensure the success of our initiatives.”

The Las Vegas Raiders and ACDC have joined forces with a shared vision, strengthened by the Raiders Foundation’s generous donation. We invite the community to witness the transformative potential of this partnership.
