“GET OUT THE VOTE” EVENT HAPPENING *TODAY* IN LAS VEGAS
ASIAN AMERICAN & PACIFIC ISLANDERS URGED TO MAKE VOICES HEARD
Las Vegas (June 14, 2022): The Asian Community Development Council and ONE APIA Nevada are holding a “Get Out the Vote” community event on Tuesday June 14th from
12PM – 7PM at Desert Breeze Park at 8275 Spring Mountain Road, Las Vegas NV 89117
The goal is to encourage everyone in Southern Nevada, especially the Asian American & Pacific Islanders community, to make their voices heard on Primary Election Day. People who stop by will be able to register to vote, vote in-person and drop off their mail ballots.
According to the 2020 Census, the Asian American Pacific Islander population in Nevada went up by nearly 40 percent, making up over 8% of the state’s population. Recent national data also shows AAPI’s increased their voter turnout rate by more than any other racial or ethnic group between 2016 and 2020 U.S Presidential elections.
At this “Get Out the Vote” event, there will also be food and drinks available from AAPI owned businesses, along with live music and a car show.

The Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) is a nonprofit and non-partisan organization dedicated to building, connecting, and educating the Asian AmericanPacific Islander community in Nevada. ACDC was officially chartered in 2015. The mission of ACDC is to improve the general well-being and education of the Asian American Pacific Island and other ethnic communities in Nevada.
