(Las Vegas) May 16, 2022: Throughout the month of May, the Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) is joining forces with other API groups across the country to celebrate the Give in May campaign to raise funds for Asian and Pacific Islander nonprofits nationwide, in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

This national online campaign brings attention not only to the amazing work these nonprofits are doing in the community, but also the challenges they faced to stay afloat during the last few years.

“The pandemic has made it extremely difficult for so many nonprofits to do the work they need to do for the community,” said Vida Lin, Founder and President of ACDC. “Give in May is an easy way for people to give back to these wonderful organizations and raise awareness about not just their needs, but also to celebrate their achievements and milestones.”

This year, ACDC is highlighting a number API nonprofits based in Southern Nevada:

The Philippine Nurses Association of Nevada (PNANV)

The Philippine Nurses Association of Nevada (PNANV) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to upholding the image, fostering the welfare, and unifying Filipino nurses in Nevada. Our nonprofit is committed to addressing nursing and healthcare issues through advocacy with other organizations throughout the state. Our members also participate in volunteer and community service that address the health of the Filipino-American nurses in Nevada.
