January 27, 2023: FOOD DISTRIBUTION EVENT TO CELEBRATE LUNAR NEW YEAR. CLOSE TO 1000 FAMILIES EXPECTED TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE

Las Vegas, Nevada (January 27, 2023): The Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) is hosting a special food distribution event this Sunday, January 29, 2023. It will run from 9AM – 3PM at the ACDC Warehouse, located at 4460 South Arville Street, Building 4, Las Vegas, NV, 89103.

This drive-thru event will be free and open to the public. ACDC staff and volunteers, who speak multiple Asian languages, will be on hand to distribute culturally-sensitive grocery staples for up to 1000 families in need. The food boxes, one portion per car, will be handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis (a government issued ID is required to participate).  

In partnership with Albertsons and Healthy Asians & Pacific Islanders (HAPI) Medical Center, a COVID-19 and flu vaccination clinic will be operating at the food distribution event. Pfizer-BioNTec and Moderna vaccines will be available for first, second and booster COVID-19 shots. Second boosters will be available for people age 50 and older who received their first booster four months prior. Pediatric doses of Pfizer will be offered for kids 5-11 as well as boosters for those children who received their second dose at least five months prior. Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTec’s newly updated bivalent booster will also be available to those fully-vaccinated. Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog and Vietnamese speakers will be available to assist with non-English speaking clients.
