Asian Pacific Island College Graduates in Nevada Honored for Accomplishments in “GraduAsian” Ceremony 

Las Vegas (May 4, 2022): During Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Asian Pacific Islander college graduates from throughout Nevada will gather for a special ceremony to highlight and celebrate their accomplishments. The Spring 2022 GraduAsian Ceremony, organized by the Asian Community Development Council (ACDC), will take place on Saturday May 7th, 2022 at College of Southern Nevada, Charleston Campus Student Union Ballrooms at 6375 West Charleston Boulevard, Las Vegas NV 89145. 

“We are so excited to bring GraduAsian back in person this spring,” said Vida Lin, Founder & President of ACDC. “We know the last few years have not been easy for a lot of people including students who are working to finish their college education. Their hard work, determination and resilience to push through and succeed despite the pandemic will make this GraduAsian event even more meaningful this year.” 

This annual GraduAsian Ceremony will feature a medallion ceremony for college graduates from University of Nevada Las Vegas, College of Southern Nevada and Nevada State College. There will also be a job fair on site with recruiters from the following companies & organizations:

● MGM Resorts 

● Caesars Entertainment 

● Everi 

● OCA Las Vegas 

● Las Vegas Desert Dogs 

● Bank of America 

● Light & Wonder 

● NV Energy

The keynote speaker for this year’s event is Patranya Bhoolsuwan, founder of Patranya Media LLC and 3 time Emmy Award winning TV journalist. Aside from running her media consulting agency based in Las Vegas, Patranya also teaches journalism at UNLV and serves as a visiting media & diversity trainer for the Poynter Institute in Tampa, Florida. 

Students who register for GraduAsian 2022 will also receive personalized certificates signed by the Nevada delegation. 

The event is free for all Nevada API college graduates. Those who want to be featured in the GraduAsian program can send an email to info@acdcnv.org with “GraduAsian Feature: (NAME)” in the subject line. Send a photo of yourself, your major and a short description of your biggest accomplishment during your college career (100 words or less).
