The Asian American and Pacific Islanders are the fastest growing population in Nevada, and across the United States. We have 250,000 AAPIs here in Nevada, that’s roughly 10% of the population, however, we are missing our voice at the table.
Over the past 9 months, ACDC has collaborated with APALA and APIAvote to get more Asian and Pacific Islander communities engaged with getting out to vote. Our results are:
- 3,100 people in Clark County are registered to vote
- 50,000 phone class were made to inform registered voters of early voting in Chinatown and Seafood city as well as getting out to vote on Election Day.
- 1,500 pledge cards were collected and mailed to remind voters of election day.
